The colourful history of this landmark building can be traced back as far as 1377. Formerly one of Salzburg's oldest inns, it has been remodelled into a first class hotel.

The Hotel is situated directly on the river Salzach and on the “back exit” it is directly on the famous “Getreidegasse”. Here, in the most typical part of old Salzburg, amid the world famous sights of the town, luxury and elegance combine to create an outstanding dimension of Austrian hospitality.

It is a building with more than 500 years of history. The hotel Altstadt is renowned for its personal and individual service. On your way through the hotel you will discover step by step new fascinating details. The inner courtyard has a glass roof-top and can be seen from every floor.
